In 2016, Phoenix Corporation began a memorial scholarship (Jerry L. DeCap Memorial Scholarship) at Riverdale and Erie High Schools. Each year, a recipient is selected based on a stringent criteria. This criteria involves moral fiber, academic excellence, athletic participation, and lastly, enrolling in an institution of higher learning, while concentrating in one of the following areas: engineering, construction trades, or business. The is scholarship was established in memory of our late co-founder, husband, father, and grand-father, Jerry L. DeCap.
